For the first time in 100 years, The Village of Palatine will not have a debt levy.

No real estate tax increase for 6 years. In fact, there was a net decrease when you include the new construction additions to the base during my tenure on the board.
We operate a highly efficient government with fewer employees now than in 2008. Palatine has fewer employees per capita than any communities in our area.
Here is an analysis done by the Village of Arlington Heights which is included in their budget showing Palatine as having the lowest cost per home of the 11 towns compared. click here for the chart
We have kept our water rates the lowest in our area. This is another way we have a lower total village cost than any of our neighboring communities.
The elimination of the stickers has saved residents $30 per vehicle while also freeing up staff time.
Exceeded actuarial required contributions.
The Palatine Comprehensive Plan will create a long-term vision for the community and outline goals and strategies that will guide the Village into the future. The updated Comprehensive Plan will help the Village to capitalize on its existing assets, such as its traditional downtown core, beautiful neighborhoods, quality schools, proximity to transit, and community services. It will also address key community challenges and needs, ensuring that the Village remains a wonderful place to live and work well into the future. The plan will address topics such as parks and recreational opportunities, traffic and congestion, non-motorized transportation, community character, future development, sustainability, economic development, and more.
Multiple meetings were held and input was received from our residents. The summary will be brought forward soon. Improvement opportunities include sites in District 1. that will positively impact District 1 residents.

Palatine participates in the first-time home buyer assistance program through Illinois Assist. The program provides home ownership opportunities for low- and moderate-income families. It is sponsored by the Town of Normal. Contact your local realtor for details.

Each one of our Village Board Meetings may be attended in person or viewed via live streaming on Comcast Channel 6. They may be viewed on the village website at any time.
The packet of information that council members receive is available on the village website prior to our meetings.
I also invite any District 1 resident to attend my District 1 advisory meetings twice per year. These meetings give an update on what is happening in the village and provide an opportunity to ask questions of myself as well as staff.

Pushed investment in expanding sidewalk network to provide safe travels for students and pedestrians
Host semi-annual public advisory meetings (town halls) which provide updates to residents on what is happening in the village and to ask questions to myself, our staff and Mayor.
Researched potential real estate tax fraud and approved a policy to address my findings. It could save taxpayers over $1 million annually
